Meet Brian, an Attorney who cares…

Brian Lawler brings a unique blend of legal knowledge and compassionate care to his clients. With a social service background that spans nearly a decade, Brian understands the complex needs of families and individuals facing various life challenges.

His practice focuses on Elder Law, Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning & Asset Protection, Incapacity Planning & Guardianships, and serving adults and children with disabilities.

Before pursuing his legal career, Brian dedicated himself to social service, serving children, adults, and families across Western North Carolina.

This extensive experience equips him with the insight needed to address the holistic needs of clients dealing with capacity limitations. Moreover, Brian’s background allows him to effectively manage relationships within the public, private, and nonprofit sectors of service providers, ensuring clients have access to a wealth of community resources.

Brian is licensed to practice in both North Carolina and South Carolina, offering his legal know-how to a broader community of clients. His mission is to provide peace of mind to families by helping them navigate the legal complexities of life while maintaining control and living life on their own terms.

Jean Lawler, Firm Administrator

As Firm Administrator, Jean is the powerhouse behind the scenes, making sure everything runs smoothly. She manages the operations of the firm, including Human Resources, Billing, Marketing, and Project Management.

After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, Jean completed the Paralegal Certificate program at South College and went on to work in several law firms across North Carolina.

She and Brian live in Asheville with their three young daughters. When she’s not running carpool or helping with homework, Jean enjoys playing tennis, cooking, and exploring all the restaurants and entertainment Asheville has to offer.

Crystal Trevino, Legal Assistant

Crystal Trevino is a Legal Assistant who followed her heart from her native Texas to Western North Carolina in 2019, captivated by the allure of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

With a background in legal assistance and office administration, Crystal brings a wealth of experience to her role.

Outside of work, she has a passion for animals and enjoys spending her free time exploring the mountains and beaches of North Carolina, as well as attending live music events.
